Emerge.ai can now write and revise real documents right beside your chat, with saved versions and exports to Word, PDF, and more. Buy prepaid AI tokens that never expire, or add extra Clouds and seats without changing plans. Plus pinned and reorderable project chats, an apps sidebar that follows you across devices, an approval prompt before a connector acts on your behalf, four new AI models, and dozens of fixes.

Documents — write together, right in chat (New Feature)

• Just ask for it: "Write me a project proposal." You get a real document back, ready to open and edit — not a wall of text in the chat
• Write side by side: The document opens next to your conversation, so you can keep asking questions while you write. On a phone it slides up over the chat. Come back to a chat later and your document is still there
• Ask for changes instead of making them: "Make the intro shorter" or "add a section on pricing" — the document updates in place, so you're always working on the same file
• Go back to any earlier draft: Every edit saves a version. Pick an older one from the menu at the top to see how it read before — old versions are view-only, so nothing gets overwritten
• All the usual writing tools: Headings, bullet and numbered lists, checklists, tables, links, and code, plus a menu for turning any paragraph into something else
• Drop in images: Paste or drag a picture straight into the page and it stays with the document
• Take it anywhere: Save any document as Word, PDF, HTML, an image, or Markdown
• Everyone in the chat gets it: A document written in a group chat opens for every member of that chat. If you only have view access, the document tells you so and who to ask for editing rights
• Start one from scratch: Pick "Document" from the upload button in chat, or the New button in Drive, in either plain Markdown or fully formatted rich text
• Keep a copy of your own: "Add to My Files" saves anything written for you into your own Drive

Add capacity without changing plans (New Feature)

• Buy AI tokens that never expire: Prepaid tokens keep premium models running after you reach your plan's usage limit. Choose a pack or enter a custom amount, and it's charged to the card on file
• Tokens are used automatically: Once you hit your limit, premium models switch to your prepaid balance, and a note in chat tells you what's left
• Add Clouds and seats on demand: Add extra Clouds or seats to your current plan without upgrading to a different one
• See exactly what you're paying: Every purchase shows the prorated charge for the days left in your billing period, and what each future invoice will be
• Give capacity back: Removing an extra Cloud or seat credits the unused time to your next invoice
• Your subscription at a glance: An overview panel shows Clouds used, members used, and your prepaid token balance in one place
• Enterprise plans: Fully custom Clouds, users, and tokens — get in touch and we'll set it up
• Understand prorating: Notes on the plan-change screen explain why a switch mid-month costs less than a full month, and how unused days come back as credit

Project chats — pin, reorder & preview

• Put chats in the order you want: On a project's home page, drag chats to arrange them and pin the ones you use most to a Pinned group at the top. The sidebar follows the same order, though the dragging and pinning happen on the project page
• See what's happening without opening: On the project page, each chat shows a short preview of its latest message and how long ago it arrived
• Share a chat with everyone: A "Share with everyone" toggle in the members panel gives all Cloud members access in one step
• Edit instructions in place: Chat and project instructions can be edited directly in the list, and changes save as you make them rather than waiting for a Save button
• Project instructions where you'd look for them: A new chat's settings drawer shows the instructions it inherits from its project

Apps sidebar

• Your sidebar follows you: Pinned apps are saved to your account, so the same layout shows up on every browser and device you sign in on
• An Apps menu that's always there: A dedicated menu lists everything you can pin, split into Pinned and Available, with a checkbox for each
• Right-click any app: Pin or unpin it, open it in a new window, or read what it does
• Learn what each app is for: An About dialog gives a plain description of Chat, Drive, Contacts, and Tasks
• More room for your work: A compact sidebar shrinks the rail to icons, and the inner sidebar resizes to match

New AI models

Four new models join the picker this release, all with web search support:

• Claude Opus 5: Anthropic's next-generation Opus, built for deep reasoning and long, multi-step work
• GPT-5.6 Sol: OpenAI's frontier model, for the most complex reasoning
• GPT-5.6 Terra: A balanced everyday option
• GPT-5.6 Luna: The fastest and lightest of the three, for high-volume, simpler tasks
• Room to work: All four take in around 750,000 words at once — plenty for long documents and long conversations
• The picker opens instantly: Your model list appears right away instead of waiting for the newest list to load

The model picker in the app is the live list; what's available there can change between releases.

Faster web search

• Sources come back quicker: Answers that need current information arrive faster
• The right depth for the question: A quick fact-check and a deep research question are handled differently, so a simple lookup doesn't take the long way round
• Sharper results: Searches can be narrowed by how recent a source is, which sites it comes from, and what language it's in

Drive & file improvements

• See a web page, not its code: HTML files open as the finished page, with a Code tab if you want the source
• Share by email: Search for people by email address in the Drive share dialog, and see the email next to each name
• Search across folders: Searching by name now returns folders alongside files
• Clearer delete messages: A file that other records depend on, or one you don't own, says so plainly

Connectors — nothing happens without your approval (Beta)

• You're asked before anything leaves your account: When Emerge.ai wants to send an email, post a message, or change a record through a connector, it stops and asks. A card in the chat shows the service's logo and what it's about to do, in plain English
• Read it before you approve it: For anything being sent, the card shows the actual contents — who it's going to, the Cc and Bcc, the subject, and the message itself. Teams messages name the person, team, or channel you're sending to, so you're never approving a string of characters
• Three ways to answer: Allow it this once, always allow that action so you're not asked again, or deny it
• Or decide it all upfront: Connector settings list every action each service can take, so you can mark which ones need approval and set them all in one go
• Group chats stay clear: Everyone sees the request and how it was answered, but only the person who asked can respond — everyone else sees that it's waiting on them
• A record of what was approved: Allowed and denied actions stay in the conversation, so you can look back and see what was agreed to and who answered
• A denial is not a dead end: Deny something and Brie is told you declined, and picks up from there
• New Salesforce and Webex connectors: Two more services Emerge.ai can work with, alongside steadier authorizing, reconnecting, and disconnecting throughout

New account requirements

• You must be 18 or older: Every new account confirms the account holder's age before it's created
• The Terms of Service must be accepted: Accepting the terms is now part of creating an account
• This applies however you sign up: Google and Microsoft sign-up ask for the same confirmations as email sign-up

Chat with apps (Beta)

• Apps you built yourself: Apps built in your Cloud can now be mentioned with @@ in chat, alongside connectors
• Mentions stick: Apps you attach before sending the first message stay attached when the chat is created
• Use them in skills: @@ mentions work inside skills too

Bug fixes

• Retries and approvals stay in sync: In a group chat, a retried message and a resolved approval update for everyone in the conversation
• Paste from Word and Google Docs: Pasted content keeps its formatting when you drop it into a document
• Documents download as real files: Exporting gives you a proper Word file, with correct margins and page breaks in Word and PDF exports
• Private chats stay private: "Everyone" no longer appears on a chat that isn't shared, and the share-with-everyone option is hidden when the project itself is private
• Move a chat to a shared project: Chats can be moved into another member's Everyone project
• Skill imports keep every file: Importing a skill zip brings along all its files, and only the skill's owner can edit or update it
• Sign in with the account you meant to: Google and Microsoft sign-in ask which account to use, and returning to the homepage keeps you signed in
• Errors say what happened: Load failures caused by permissions say so, subscription problems offer a retry, and a redirect away from Cloud creation explains why
• Layout and readability: Settings and Drive views read well on a phone, and the document editor's version picker and header stay usable in a narrow pane
