2.1.0

A redesigned chat input with a switch for turning Brie off in the model selector, quicker real-time chats, pinned Clouds, a page that opens links in the mobile app, and clearer messages when something goes wrong.

Released January 31, 2026.

The chat input has been redesigned, and the model selector now carries a switch for turning Brie off and on. Real-time chats are quicker, and you can stop an answer partway through or send a failed message again. Plus a subscription choice when you create a Cloud, pinned Clouds, a page that opens links in the mobile app, clearer messages when something goes wrong, a welcome email for new accounts, and more of Emerge.ai translated.

Chat input redesign

  • Upload and web search sit right in the input: The chat input has been redesigned, with the upload button on the right, and web search available on a brand-new chat
  • See your model on your phone: The chat input shows which model is selected on a phone
  • Turn Brie off without leaving the chat: Switch Brie on or off from the model selector, which reads "AI Disabled" while it's off
  • Picking a model is easier: On a phone the model list opens as a full dialog instead of a dropdown, it scrolls straight to the model you're on, and on desktop the list is wider and scrolls

Real-time chat improvements

  • Improved real-time messaging: Real-time messaging has been upgraded for better performance
  • Stop an answer partway through: You can stop a reply while it's still being written instead of waiting for it to finish
  • Send a failed message again: A message that doesn't go through in a real-time chat can be retried
  • Status keeps up in shared chats: In a chat you're working in with other people, status updates show correctly

Cloud creation & management

  • Choose which subscription a new Cloud belongs to: Pick the subscription to attach a Cloud to as you create it
  • A typed invitation isn't quietly lost: Type an email address on the invite step without adding it and you get a warning
  • Back out of creating a Cloud: A close button takes you back out of the Cloud creation steps
  • You're told why you can't create a Cloud: An invalid subscription says "Payment Required", and a plan that doesn't cover creating Clouds says "Upgrade Required"
  • Keep the Clouds you use most in one place: Hover over a Cloud in the list and use the star to pin or unpin it — pinned Clouds get their own "Pinned" section

Chat and project limits

  • Retry pauses when you reach your daily limit: On the Free plan, retry and edit-and-rerun are turned off once you reach the daily limit
  • "Everyone" isn't offered in a personal Cloud: The "Everyone" option on a project is turned off in a personal Cloud
  • A link can take you straight into the app: On a phone, links now land on a page that opens the Emerge.ai app for you
  • If the app doesn't open, use the web: When the app can't launch, an "Open Emerge.ai Web" button takes you there instead
  • You land where the link points: The page can forward you to a specific page inside the app

Subscription & billing improvements

  • Change your mind about a downgrade: Undo a scheduled downgrade from billing or from the pricing table
  • See the numbers before you switch: The preview shows your previous plan amount, the credit, the new plan amount, the prorated amount, and what's due today
  • Product names read in your language: Product names are translated for the language you're using
  • You can see when something's working: Buttons through the subscription steps show they're working after you click them
  • Leave the upgrade page: An X closes the upgrade page
  • One list instead of two tabs: Teams and Everyone are now a single sidebar list that opens on "All"
  • Notifications you can read on a phone: On a phone, notifications open as a full dialog instead of a dropdown

Support page updates

  • See what you haven't read: Unread conversations stand out with a colored icon and background
  • Know who spoke last: A conversation's latest message is marked "You:" or "Support:"
  • Opening a conversation clears it: Clicking an unread conversation marks it as read

Clearer errors

  • Errors are worded consistently: Error messages read the same way wherever you meet them
  • A clear message when a page can't load: If your data can't be loaded when a page opens, you get a message saying so and a button to reload
  • Voice recording says what went wrong: A denied microphone permission, a microphone that can't be found, and no audio detected each get their own message, in your language

Signing in & staying signed in

  • You stay signed in as you move around: Your session holds as you move between pages, and refreshes more reliably
  • Verifying your email moves you along: Confirming your email address forwards you onward
  • You aren't signed out when Emerge.ai is unreachable: Emerge.ai no longer logs you out automatically when it can't be reached
  • Sign-in says what went wrong: Wrong credentials get a clearer message, and a successful sign-in reloads the page
  • Show or hide your password: Password fields have a toggle for showing what you've typed

Translations

  • More of Emerge.ai in your language: Hundreds more translations were added across English, Spanish, and Japanese
  • These parts are now translated too: The page-load error message, the cancel-downgrade dialog, the Cloud creation steps, sign-in errors, voice recording errors, and the pricing table

On your phone

  • No flash of the wrong layout: Pages open in their phone layout straight away
  • The members page fits a phone: The members page uses stacked layouts on a small screen
  • The page fits your phone's screen: The main layout sits better inside a phone browser

Welcome email (New Feature)

  • You get a welcome email when you sign up: New accounts get a welcome email from Emerge.ai when they're created

Bug fixes

  • Starting a new chat works: Problems with creating a new chat are fixed
  • Dialogs close when you close them: A dialog that wouldn't close now does
  • Page titles match where you are: Page titles are consistent across the app
