Plans, Tokens & Billing
How Emerge.ai measures daily and weekly AI usage, why extra Clouds don't add capacity, what happens at a limit, and what each plan includes.
What you'll do
Emerge.ai measures your AI use with two meters at once:
- a daily meter, which is yours alone, and
- a weekly meter, which belongs to the whole account.
You will find both in Settings → AI Usage, check your plan in Settings → Plan and Billing, and learn your options when you reach a limit.
Step-by-step
- Open Settings → AI Usage. It shows how much of your daily and weekly AI capacity you have used.
- Read each meter as a percentage, along with when it resets.
- Open Settings → Plan and Billing to see your plan and what it includes.
- If you need more capacity than your plan gives you, buy prepaid tokens from the Extra AI Tokens card, or change plan.
How usage is measured
Open Settings → AI Usage to see how much you have used. There are two meters, Daily and Weekly. Each shows a percentage and when it resets.
You never have to clear them. Your capacity comes back when the time is up.
The two meters measure different things.
- Daily is per person. It counts your own use, and nobody else's.
- Weekly is per account. It is one pool, shared by everyone on the subscription and every Cloud on the account. Because it is shared, your chat can stop even when your own daily meter is low.
What that means on your plan
- On an Individual plan, the account is just you, so the weekly pool is yours alone. Both meters count your own use, over two different periods.
- On a Business plan, the weekly pool belongs to the team. Everyone on the subscription draws from it, in every Cloud. How much is left in the week depends on what your colleagues have used as well as you.
One account, one usage pool
Your AI capacity is one weekly pool shared across all your Clouds. Extra Clouds do not add more usage. An extra Cloud gives your team another place to work. More capacity comes from changing plan or from prepaid tokens.
You buy both in the same place. Settings → Plan and Billing has Add a cloud, where an extra Cloud is $5/month on top of your plan, and Buy tokens for prepaid top-ups (prices as shown in the product on 2026-08-19). Plan and billing belongs to the subscription owner, so ask them to buy if the account is not yours.
When you reach a limit
Emerge.ai tells you when you reach a limit. You have two ways forward.
- Carry on with Emerge Fast & Free. If your plan includes this group, your chat switches to the free model by itself and tells you it has switched. It costs nothing and you buy nothing. See Models & Auto-Selector for where the group sits in the picker.
- Buy prepaid tokens to keep premium models running past the limit.
Extra AI Tokens
At your limit, premium models stop until the limit resets. Prepaid tokens keep them running in the meantime.
Buy them from the Extra AI Tokens card on Settings → AI Usage, using the Buy Tokens button. The presets are $5, $10, $25, and $50. You can also enter any whole-dollar amount from $1 to $500 (prices as shown in the product on 2026-08-19). Tokens never expire, and Emerge.ai uses them automatically once you hit your limit.
Tokens sit on top of your plan and are separate from plan capacity. They do not change your daily or weekly limits. All they do is keep premium models available once you reach one.
Definitions
- Daily limit — a per-person usage limit, shown as a percentage in Settings → AI Usage with the time until it resets.
- Weekly limit — one usage pool shared by everyone on the subscription and every Cloud on the account, shown as a percentage next to the daily meter.
- Extra AI Tokens — prepaid tokens bought from Settings → AI Usage that keep premium models running after you reach a limit. Separate from plan capacity.
- Emerge Fast & Free — a model group in the picker. On plans that include it, your chat carries on using this model at your limit instead of stopping.
- Subscription owner — the person who manages the account's plan and billing, and who makes purchases on it.
The plans
The plan cards are one step past Settings → Plan and Billing — select Change Plan (or View plans on the Free plan) to see them. The cards group the plans: Free under "GETTING STARTED", the Individual plans under "FOR PERSONAL USE", and the Business plans under "FOR GROWING TEAMS & SMBS".
| Plan | Price | What the plan page lists |
|---|---|---|
| Free | — | Personal Cloud · Projects and chats · Daily Usage Limits |
| Individual | $9/month | 1 cloud workspace · Great for exploring AI |
| Individual Pro | $20/month | Up to 2 cloud workspaces · 2x more usage · Great for solopreneurs |
| Individual Max | $100/month | Up to 5 cloud workspaces · 5x more usage · Great for creatives & developers |
| Business | $250/month | Up to 3 cloud workspaces · Great for up to 25 users |
| Business Pro | $500/month | Up to 5 cloud workspaces · 2x more usage · Great for 25–50 users |
| Business Max | $2500/month | Up to 100 cloud workspaces · 5x more usage · Great for 50–250 users |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom scale, SSO & security, and custom limits for large teams. Contact Sales |
Individual Pro's card also reads "Everything in Individual, plus more usage and workspaces."
A Cloud count and a usage figure are two different things on these cards. "Up to 5 cloud workspaces" is how many Clouds you may create. "5x more usage" is the capacity that comes with the plan. Those Clouds all draw on the one shared weekly pool.
Prices and plan contents change, and the page lists more than is repeated here. The plan cards behind Settings → Plan and Billing are the live list, so check there before you decide.
