Platform & Apps overview

Emerge.ai runs on the web and on iOS and Android. It is the same account and the same Clouds wherever you open it; what differs is what each surface adds on top.

What carries across surfaces

Your work lives in the Cloud, not on any one device. Open Emerge.ai anywhere and you are in the same Clouds, with the same members and their roles, the same chats and projects, files, tasks, and documents — see the Getting Started overview for the full list of what a Cloud holds.

Which models you can use comes from your plan and your Cloud's settings, so it is the same on every device. See Models & Auto-Selector for how availability works, and Lockdown Mode for the setting that restricts it.

The web app

The web app is the full surface, and covers:

• Chat — conversations with a model, on their own or inside a project.
• Drive — uploading files, organizing them, and working with them in chat.
• Contacts — the people and companies you work with.
• Tasks — tracked work items.
• Documents — documents created and edited in Emerge.ai.
• Plan and billing — your current plan, and your AI usage.

The mobile apps

The iOS and Android apps carry the full Emerge.ai experience, and five things are theirs alone:

• Run a model on your phone. Download a model to the device and it runs there. See Models & Auto-Selector for which models you can download.
• Chat with no connection. Once a model is downloaded, chat keeps working in airplane mode.
• Widgets and camera. Home-screen widgets, and photo capture.
• Send anything to Emerge.ai. The system share sheet puts content into Emerge.ai from whatever app you are in.
• Apple Watch (beta). Chat from your wrist.

Themes and languages

Four themes — Light, Dark, Blue, and System — and three languages: English, Español, and 日本語. Both are set per person, in Settings.

Connectors

Emerge.ai connects to services you already use — Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Microsoft 365, Asana and more. The set keeps growing, and connectors are beta, so expect their behaviour to keep changing.

The Connectors section covers what a connector is and how to set one up, including which of its tools Emerge.ai is allowed to use.

Definitions

• Local model — a model downloaded to a mobile device and run on it, so chat works with no connection.
• Beta — a feature the product itself marks as beta. Emerge.ai labels Apple Watch and Connectors this way.
